Marianne has a thriving private cello teaching practice in North London where she teaches beginners intermediate and advanced cellists of all ages, from children and adults. She is also available for piano lessons, piano accompaniment for exams and aural and theory training. Using teaching methods inspired by the Hungarian lineage she incorporates aspects of the Kodaly method alongside specialised pedagogy. This has been handed on to her from highly regarded cello professors such as Derek Simpson and David Smith Royal Academy of Music, Eduardo Vassallo Royal Northern College of Music and Csaba Onczay Liszt Academy of Music Budapest Hungary. Marianne enters candidates for both Associated Board and Trinity Guildhall exams from grade 1-8 and at Higher Education level exams and auditions.
Marianne encourages students to take part in Music festivals and regularly organises student concerts and events. She is an accomplished pianist having studied the piano at a high level as second study at the Royal Academy of Music, and uses her piano accompaniment skills both in lessons and for student concerts and auditions. Due to high student demand Marianne prepares students for GCSE and A level performances, and advanced entrance auditions for specialist schools and Higher Education. Marianne is a member of the British Kodaly Association, European String Teachers Association and International Kodaly Society.
